Speech and Language Assessments
Why get an assessment?
An assessment is the first step towards building a kit of tools and resources to support a young person's learning journey and communication development. Assessments will provide:
-
A comprehensive written report with recommendations.
-
A learning development or speech therapy plan.
-
Guided access to tools and resources.
-
Advice on other available support.
Available support will vary on a case-by-case basis, depending on the needs of the young person.
All of our specialists are HCPC registered.

Our Process
-
Identify the relevant professional support package according to the young person’s needs and connect you with the appropriate specialist.
-
Have an initial meeting with your specialist to discuss concerns and finalise the specific assessments or program of support needed. This will be a remote meeting of around 30 minutes.
-
Assessment: the assessment will probably take around 90 minutes to complete, perhaps a little longer, this can be remote or face-to-face.
-
A draft report will be prepared and sent to you, and then we will arrange a follow-up with your professional to discuss the report, the results of the assessment and recommendations. This will be a remote meeting of about 30mins.
-
On-going support can be provided where appropriate, with regularly scheduled check-ins and development milestones.
