How we create and review information
The Think Works publishes information to help families and schools understand assessment choices and prepare useful questions. Clinical and educational claims are reviewed by the appropriately qualified practitioner, linked to reputable sources and dated so readers can see when the information was last checked.
Our standards
Named review: Each substantive page identifies the practitioner responsible for clinical or educational review.
Primary sources: We prioritise regulators, professional bodies, legislation, government services and clinical guidance.
Clear boundaries: We distinguish screening, assessment, diagnosis, formulation, intervention and statutory decisions.
Local accuracy: Isle of Man pathways are checked against current official information.
Regular review: Core pages are reviewed at least annually and earlier when services or guidance change.
Corrections: Readers can report an error to info@thethinkworks.co.uk.
What our website cannot do
Website information cannot assess an individual child, replace professional advice or respond to an emergency. Examples and general descriptions do not predict the result of an assessment.
Responsible use of writing technology
Drafting or editing technology may be used to help organise information, but professional claims are checked by a named human reviewer before publication. Automated text is not used as a substitute for practitioner judgement.
